Through Darkness, Light ✨
When reveling in the brightness of Easter comes to a halt but Easter Continues
A nonet poem about hope, stillness, and grace
Sometimes transformation comes quietly — a pull toward light, a breath released, a return to grace. This poem captures a moment of darkness in the midst of the brightness of Easter-yet Grace doesn’t dim.
I only had eyes for the brightness It called to me, pulling me inward So full of hope, I stepped in Softly, my soul exhaled I felt light again Words poured like rain Darkness returned Stillness fell Grace ~Daisy Fuentes Dronen
🕊️ A nonet is a nine-line poem in which each line decreases by one syllable, from 9 down to 1. This form naturally creates a feeling of release or distillation — perfect for poems of reflection or revelation.
“Not all who wander are lost.”

The Beauty of Eastertide

A glimpse of life in pictures.
I have so much more to say about wandering in Eastertide but I don’t want to crowd this space with too many words. May this poem give you pause and help you reflect on your own journey of loss and light.
I’d love to hear your thoughts— hit reply to this email or drop a comment below.
Look for the second part tomorrow.
Gracefully,
Daisy

Love you, dear one. I just had to look up yesterday if it was still Easter! Hoping for some resurrection life and light to rest upon us again in these final days.
