The beauty of the table Simple, pure, and familiar A bowl of soup shared A lenten tradition He comes close and blesses How can such mundane moment Take our breath away? A Prayer
'When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. '

Reflection/ Reflexión
Holy Wednesday is a day shrouded in silence; we don’t find any details about what Jesus did that day. Perhaps He was making sure His disciples could rest after two days of ministry and prepare for the events to come. Whatever He did, He did it knowing that ultimately, He needed to go to Jerusalem and endure unimaginable pain. He also quieted His disciples with His love—a love that was about to be fully displayed before them.
As humans, we are not accustomed to spending long periods of time in silence. But for Jesus, these times of silence and stillness were essential. Our culture tells us: more—more things, more noise, more to-dos. That’s how you serve Jesus. But Jesus says, “No more. Rest. Set aside time in silence to be with Me, so you can recognize My voice.”
Es un día envuelto en silencio; no encontramos en las Escrituras lo que hizo Jesús este día. Tal vez, después de dos días cargados de ministerio, Él quería asegurarse de que todos descansaran, sabiendo que, finalmente, tendría que llegar a Jerusalén y sufrir de manera inexplicable.

Breath prayer is prayer that is like the breathing of our soul. As we practice breath prayer we inhale and exhale the Spirit of God with one phrase to pray.
Now we offer up our hearts in prayer:
Inhale: Jesus, quiet me
Exhale: I want to know you
