Spring
Alive Alive! The world is alight with life again The tulips of hope are in blossom the trees don their snow and pink colored gowns the seedling practices resurrection inch by inch The sprout of life is bursting forth overnight the peonies grow my eyes observing and feasting on beauty my heart a journal of flutters inscribing the awakening The growth is astoundingly fast in the spring A rebirth of souls inch by inch can be seen the pen our companion in helping it all make sense Each raindrop falls purposefully for a garden awaits And so, we can rest on the beauty of spring It helps us remember that rhythm we live For life to return darkness and death must arrive first yet the cycles we dance in will not linger there life will round the corner again bringing refreshment in its scent color in it’s petals and verses of poetry with the bird’s song -DFD
This poem was inspired by my friend Rachel’s April writing prompts. I just put two weeks of words together! She has chosen such beautiful words to inspire creativity! Check them our here!
The Brightness of Eastertide
A year ago a shared a series about the first week of Eastertide being known as Bright week. And although we are into week three of Eastertide I wanted to share it here with you and remind you that the brightness of Easter has not faded.
