Celebrating and Sharing Our Stories
Celebrations, Compilations, and Cravings + An Epic Giveaway
Celebrations
How did it already get to the last week of February? I am not entirely sure. As you most likely can deduce I have always loved celebrating. I love celebrating the little things and the big things equally. This year, I want to help you remember that you are loved and that your story is worth sharing.
Although illness has not allowed an in person book swap yet, I can still celebrate virtually through a beautiful giveaway that includes a book. Read to the end for all the details!
Compilations
This year I am continuing to practice poetry writing. I am adding a study on watercolor for this year and I am hopeful to create for the beauty of creating. Here are some little glimpses of what I've been working on.
So Long as He calls
a sonnet inspired by 2 Peter 1:3-8
Let’s go back to the beginning
And dance the dance of creation
The world entranced by your word spinning
Becoming fully alive through your narration
Do I get to become fully alive?
Must I wander forever to decline?
I see the fall surrender and winter arrive
The letting go unburdening a soul to shine
But don’t for a moment forget his power
Through which all things he has granted
Calling you to trust and not cower
Becoming uprooted to be firmly planted
So long as He calls us to his own glory
So, then we Become, partners in the divine story.

Cravings
What are you craving? I have been asking myself this question again this lenten season. I can name one after the other but then quickly realize that they point me back to the only one that can satisfy them, Jesus. I pray that this lent season we find the stillness we crave so that we can hear his voice as he beckons us come. I am enjoying the Bridgetown Church’s morning and evening meditations they so generously share this lenten season.
What have you been craving? I would love to help you carry that craving to the Lord asking him for contentment and satisfaction-for the both of us. Hit reply or comment below and let me know.
A Beautiful Blog Post + a Stunning Giveaway
“…When the interview was over we got up to leave, and Dr. Ali opened the door to let us out, but then paused, and closed it again.
“You know why this means so much to me,” he said. “I’d like to tell you a story…”
He shared his heart. And there in the space between us sparked a connection so big, mystical, and meaningful that only God himself could have orchestrated it.
