Bright Monday
A Poem
He Will See To It
The sun will rise again— He will see to it. The winter months will incubate life— He will see to it. Spring will erupt in beauty anew— He will see to it. The ocean will maintain its boundaries— He will see to it. But will my boundaries be maintained? He will see to it. Will the beauty hidden in my life be revealed? He will see to it. Will the seemingly endless winter of loss and grief incubate life? He will see to it. Will the bright sunshine invade the darkness again? He will see to it. When I recall to mind Jehovah “Yireh,” I rest, assured that He will remain true. He is the God who provides. He will see to it that my faith will not falter. -Daisy Fuentes Dronen

Bright Week: A Sunrise of Hope
This bright week begins with the brilliance of Easter.
Every Easter for the past three years, we’ve met our dear friends on a hill to watch the sunrise. It has become a sacred tradition—a quiet, expectant moment to mark resurrection morning together.
For the last two years, we’ve been met with rain, cold, and clouds. Still, we’ve never been disappointed. Being together, praying, and singing of the goodness of the Son—who rises with brilliance over death—has been more than enough.
This Year, the Sun Rose
This Easter morning, the sun finally rose through the clouds in full splendor, casting the sky in the sweetest shades of peach and pink. It was breathtaking.
And in that sunrise, we were reminded: even on cloudy days, the sun still shines. And so does the Son—piercing the darkness that often threatens to shroud our souls.
The Gift of Bright Week
A few years ago, I discovered that the week following Easter is traditionally known as Bright Week. I’ve embraced that name wholeheartedly. It reminds me that Easter is not just a day—it’s a season. A feast. A beginning.
An Invitation to Walk Together
So this week, I invite you to walk with me through the days after the tomb. The days when Jesus lingered with His disciples, cooked for them, and revealed Himself in simple, loving ways.
I pray He will walk with us, too—that He will open our eyes to His brilliance and shine His face upon us, even in the shadowy places.
Let’s embrace Bright Week, together.
Happy Eastertide
Eastertide defined from the website of Aleteia
“Eastertide is simply another name for the Easter season and refers to the time after Easter when the Church focuses on Jesus' resurrection. Eastertide is a full 10 days longer than Lent, giving the Christian people 50 days to bask in the glory of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The season ends on Pentecost, when the Church shifts its focus to the coming of the Holy Spirit.”
He has drawn near and we are never the same again.
Gracefully,
Daisy
